Past Events - Hermosa Surf Contest - The STD Triple Crown Showdown

In 2007 and 2008 our founder, Heather Oblon partnered with local Business Owner/STD Drummer/Surfer Joseph "Slo" Hobi to put on a community surf contest titled "the STD Triple Crown ShowDown". The events where held over 3 consecutive weekends in April both years, the contest spanned from RAT beach thru Redondo, Hermosa and Manhattan Beach ending at 26th Street. Support was large from all the local businesses, surfers, skaters, high school surf teams and the individuals in the music scene in the Southbay. We have planned to bring this contest back in 2014, again with the support of the community. The proceeds from the contest will be held over for summer scholarships to local surf camps and music classes.  Please contact us mailto:[email protected] to Donate, Sponsor or Volunteer for the coming contests.
